About Me

Hello, my name is Jack(son) Hillman and welcome to the blog. I figured for my first post I should give a little background about myself and my goals. This is my second year at Purdue University Northwest and my current major is business management. I hope to eventually transfer to Purdue main campus and study sports management. I'm not 100% sure of what I want to do after college but an idea my family has been tossing around is opening a sports shop with my dad. All I know as of right now is that I love sports and want sports to be involved in whatever job I choose to do for the rest of my life.

Since I was a little kid I have always had a love for sports. While I didn't live with my dad for most of my childhood, anytime I went came over my dad and I would always watch a Chicago Bulls game. I played baseball and soccer for a long time, played football in middle school, and played some recreational basketball during high school. While I wasn't the best at some of these sports, especially at my towering height of 5'6, I still loved them. Even now whether it's live games, video games, or sports cards, I enjoy sports in my everyday life.

This is why I want to explore a work field that would involve sports. In the past I have worked for Legacy baseball fields, Long John Silvers, and at PNW. By far my favorite experience was working at the baseball fields. All I had to do was work the scoreboard, choose music every once and a while, and sit in an air conditioned box while watching baseball (usually eating a hot pretzel). Doesn't that sound so much better then managing moody, high school cooks and cashiers or cleaning the gross dorms college kids never cleaned? My main goal in life is to work a job I love because as the famous saying goes, "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

All in all, I am very excited to see what the future holds for me at college and my future jobs. While I'd be happy running a sports shop with my dad, I'd also like to explore options like working with professional teams. I am also very excited to share my thoughts with the class through this format. Everybody have a great year and I hope we can continue to meet in person and actually enjoy college during these hard times.

Land Of The Snakes

For this post, I wanted to discuss a group of content creators I used to watch before they sold out and ruined friendships for business ...
